What is C-Think and why is it Important?
It is a Critical Thinking debate programme that engages fans as judges in matches that strengthen: intellect. reasoning, communication and civic awareness among students.
Who will coordinate and manage the C-Thinking Debates 2026?
In 2026 C-Think will be convened and adjudicated by The Mico University College and produced by CAP Media & Marketing Limited for broadcast across participating radio and television stations.
What can students gain from joining C-Think.
Students gain confidence speaking publicly, strong reasoning skills, national exposure and academic enrichment. Outstanding competitors will benefit from prizes, scholarship sand cash grants.
How will schools benefit from joining a C-Think League?
C-Think 2026 will be highly visible, therefore schools will gain national recognition and media visibility. In addition, C-Think is a structured co-curricular programme and its moots offer curriculum aligned lessons.
Will communities benefit from C-Think as well?
By amplifying the importance of critical thinking and knowledge based problem solving we can help produce a generation of thoughtful, articulate young leaders empowered by education.
C-Think Leagues
Twenty Teams. 19 Matches Per Team. 20 Weeks.
Each match is adjudicated by trained educators, subject experts and members of the public, under the academic oversight of the Mico University College, with expert judges organized by Parents Alliance Jamaica. Match points accumulate over the season.
The Youth League
Port Antonio & St. Jago High led the 1st C-Think YL!
The Queens’ High School, Port Antonio High School and St. Jago High School all dominated the C-Think Jamaica’s Junior League during the pilot season, 2024. St. Jago emerged top of the league by less than 5 points after a close contest. All top five schools will remain in the League for 2026!
Junior League
Holland Primary and Woburn Lawn Primary & JH
Half Way Tree Primary, May Pen Primary and Bonnet Primary & Junior High were strong competitors in the Jamaica C-Think’s 2024 Junior League, but it was Holland Primary School that finished top of the League, with Woburn Lawn close behind. All top five schools will remain in the League for 2026!
Judges & Patrons
Expert Judges and Distinguished Patrons
C-Think welcomes the participation of expert judges and patrons. The Chief Adjudicator in the pilot season was JADE’s Jermaine Barrett, however expert judges and patrons like Dr. Anna Perkins, Damion Gordon and Senator Marlon Morgan, added depth and real life connections to match moots.
